Public Engagement

Our Public Engagement program is our longest standing program that began simultaneously with our first fundraising efforts for Afghanistan, and with the grassroots formation of chapters over 25 years ago. This program fosters an engaged and knowledgeable community of supporters to take urgent, meaningful action in support of the right to learn.

Through media interviews, events, newsletters, toolkits, resources, social media, and community outreach, our Public Engagement program is at the heart of communication and interaction between our organization and the incredible supporters who make our work possible.

A key element of our public engagement program is our 10 amazing chapters of volunteers across Canada. Our dedicated chapters are at the heart of our community outreach, raising awareness and funds locally and assisting newcomer families as part of our resettlement efforts.
