Conference on Afghanistan: Changing the Approach and Reversing the Trajectory

Join this full day, in person event presented by UOttawa and Center for International Policy Studies (CIPS) of the University of Ottawa in collaboration with the Embassy of Afghanistan in Ottawa.
Conference on Afghanistan: Changing the Approach and Reversing the Trajectory will discuss the current multifaceted crisis in Afghanistan with a a focus on the ongoing international efforts to adopt and implement a new integrated approach to Afghanistan. The Conference will bring together Afghan, regional, and international experts who will engage in three panel discussion around key topics of humanitarian crisis, human rights, and political process and counter-terrorism.
Dr. Lauryn Oates, Executive Director of Right to Learn Afghanistan, formerly Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan, will present in the first panel discussion: “A Human Rights Catastrophe During a Humanitarian Crisis: Ongoing Efforts and Current Challenges”.
