Laila Rashid

Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, Laila is a passionate feminist who believes, and has experienced firsthand, that the empowerment of women and girls has a powerful positive impact on social, political, and economic conditions globally. Laila is a lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law, and has over 12 years of experience working in Canada, Saudi Arabia, and elsewhere in the Middle East. Laila obtained her LL.B. in the U.K. and her LL.M. in New York, is a member of both the New York State Bar and the Law Society of Alberta, and is fluent in English, Arabic and Farsi. Laila joined the Board in 2018.
